37 days until Halloween!
Let’s get started with the festivities!
The key to this recipe is Wilton’s Monster Eyes. I found this item on Pinterest and have found you can throw them on just about anything to make it creepy. Especially if you add more than one eye, creepy. Okay, okay, I know that purple people eaters are supposed to have one eye, one horn – – – but these guys are still creepy!
This is all I needed to get it together! Plus eggs and vegetable oil, for the mix. I am not going to go in depth about how to bake these because most of us Holiday fanatics know how to do a boxed cake mix. However, I will throw in a couple details that help me make good cupcakes. I photo-documented the whole event too, lol
The key ingredient – – loose monster eyes!
Got my trusty mixer here. Believe it or not, this mixer is over 25 years old. My mom and I used to make sweet treats on this Kitchen Aid mixer when I was a little girl. Thanks Mom!
Added 3 exact tablespoons to each cup. If you measure it out precisely, you’ll always get perfectly baked cupcakes.
Into the oven you go!
12-14 mintues later…
Classic toothpick method to check it is fully baked…
Clean! We are good to go. Let the cupcakes cool.
Luckily the recipe had pre-made frosting. Not that hard to use either. Was pleasantly surprised how the frosting was so easily put on the cakes.
Upside down into the sprinkles before the frosting hardens.
Add some eyes!
Wow! That was easy! I am always trying to make the holidays easy, festive, & stress-free.
Party on crafters! There is always something to celebrate!
